Unison

Unison is a reasonable quick file synchronization tool.

It easily can be setup like a Windows Domain User Roaming Profile.

IPV6

Unison uses so called Profiles to define synchronizations. Until version 4.48 it does unfortunately not support IPV6 addresses.

As a workaround, in order to use the nice Link-Local Addresses, an SSH Host Alias can be set .

~/.ssh/config

Host myHostAlias
HostName fe80::2efe:bebe:fafa:8bfd%%wlp2s0
AddressFamily inet6
